Week 4 Video

This week, I explore instructional design strategies focusing on video, video editing tools and accessibility requirements. I am happy that now I can:

  • Outline best practice for creating instructional storyboards

  • Identify resources for collaborating and assessing instructional storyboards

  • Create a tailored storyboard in alignment with an instructional requirement

  • Create and publish a short educational video

To put theory into practice, I have created a storyboard and an instructional video on 12 steps to creating an instructional video. I created this video on the Powtoon page using their available assets. 

The information, which I used in the video is drawn from this week readings and other sources, including Anthea Papadopoulou's blog on types of instructional videos. I created 12 steps to making instructional videos using ideas from various sources such as 5 steps to making instructional videos, and 8 steps to creating promotional videos.

Storyboard

I used PowerPoint to create a storyboard to guide the process of making this presentation video. I exported the file as video and pdf.
